Alexanderplatz

When you visit Alexanderplatz you should not miss out on the Weltzeituhr. This clock was built in 1969 and shows the times in 148 cities in the world. The massive thing weighs over 16 tons and is about 10 meters high. The attraction fits perfect to Alexanderplatz and his function as a meeting point: You can tell your friends straight away when they are showing up late.

Alexanderplatz has a location which makes it possible to reach almost everything in Berlin. Beneath the Fernsehturm you can visit a large casino, there is a cinema, a bowling alley and many different bars and pubs. For the daredevils it is also possible to jump off one of the high buildings: The Parkinn Hotel.

The first 20 years of my live I lived in a very small village in the middle of The Netherlands. It is not a big surprise that I was greatly impressed by the beauty and possibilities of Berlin. An amazing multicultural city which is alive almost every hour of every day.
